Tell Lea I want to have her.
I’m sure she always knows.
She’s older now, as I am too.
I don’t want any vows.

I just want to taste you.
You never gave me a chance.
Let’s see if this time later
Creates a small romance.

But romance is not needed.
I’d spurn it to spite you
Who turned a cold heart to me
Before the night held dew.

But love I still adore you
Pray for you knowing how
I never will enjoy your haste
Not ever. No. Not now.

You are the theme of poems
Gone silently to flight.
I cannot or will not forget.
I cannot make it right.

I love you still so deep
Forbidden as the sea
Is as forsaken as my wife
Forbids as you did me.
